Terrestrial herbs; rhizoids filiform; stolons up to 2.5 cm long, branched, filiform. Foliar organs up to 8 mm long, narrowly linear, obtuse at apex, 1-nerved. Traps numerous, c. 1 mm across, reniform, stalked; appendages 2, subulate. Racemes 2-7 cm long, erect, solitary, 1-5-flowered; scales c. 1 mm long, ovate, basifixed, acute at apex; bracts 1-2 mm long, ovate to linear-lanceolate, basifixed, acute at apex; bracteoles subulate, shorter than the bract. Flowers 4-8 mm long; pedicels 2-4 mm long, broadly winged, erect in anthesis, recurved in fruit. Calyx-lobes 2, subequal, 2-4 x 2-3 mm, broadly ovate, apex obtuse. Corolla yellow; upper lip 2-4 x 1-2 mm, linear-oblong, rounded at apex; lower lip 2-4 mm across, orbicular to obovate, rounded at apex; spur subulate, about as long as the limb. Filaments straight. Ovary ovoid; stigma 2-lipped. Capsules c. 2.5 x 2 mm, ovoid, slightly compressed. Seeds ovoid, testa reticulate. Flowering and fruiting: July-September Wet and marshy areas near perennial water resources Indo-Malesia to Australia and East Asia Widespread in India, Bangladesh, Burma, Cambodia, Thailand, Viet Nam, Japan, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Maluku Islands, Australia.
