Pinguicula 'Aphrodite'
A cultivar, hybrid between Pinguicula agnata and P. moctezumae, with linear-oblong leaves with rounded tips, lighter green in colour with buttery surface, up to 12 cm long and 2 cm broad, in basal rosette, edges slightly rolled down. Flowers 2-4 cm across, violet coloured fading to pink, with a long slender spur, flowers borne singly on long scape.
Photographed from Plantae Paradize, Datyar village near Parwanu on Shimla Road
Nice plant to know. We have P.alpina in Uttarakhand which is considered as insectivorous.
