Photographed these fruits about 2 hrs. ago, a wild small to medium tree on pond-side. ID would be appreciated. As per distribution by Sir Prain we should have Litsea glutinosa, Litsea apetala and Litsea salicifolia Hook. f. var. laurifolia of Fl. Br. Ind. I would like to add that leaves glabrous upper surface, abaxially soft hairy (can't say if tomentose, hoary.....etc). I have taken account of all species in Bengal Plants, irrespective of distribution. Attached here trunk, branch, branchlet, petiole and leaf character. Interesting feature is this has all kind of lamina! Attachments (10) Another specimen from another village. Nice shots.
