Saw these beautiful flower spikes at  Sawantwadi, Mah., in September '10.
Request validation of the same. Thank you.
I think your id is correct ...

Thanks for the validation ...

This Scutellaria is photographed in Naini Tal district at an altitude of 1700m on a steep slope.
I hope S. grossa

To me it is S.discolor Colebr. only.
S. discolor Colebr. is a small unbranched plant with all leaves at base, flowers in long, solitary spike while S.grossa is a branched herb with many smaller spikes.
S.grossa- http://apps.kew.org/herbcat/getImage.do?imageBarcode=K001115298
S.discolor- http://apps.kew.org/herbcat/getImage.do?imageBarcode=K000820800
Yes ... you are right.
One tends to forget although there was a lot of discussion on these two species in 2012
Scutellaria grossa from Gori valley...
Yes ... Very good photographs.
Looking in to the picture 2 (Scutellaria grossa (3) the species looks like S.discolor.
S.discolor (=S.indica)- http://apps.kew.org/herbcat/getImage.do?imageBarcode=K000820800
... may be onto something correct
the leaf in second picture Your 3 is rounded ended oblong
the S. gross leaf tip acute angled almost like a top of a pyramid.

Orthosiphon sp : 10 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (2)
Orthosiphon sp ?, wild herb from Thirthalli, Shimoga dt of Karnataka
Pl. Check comparative images at EFI.
It is not Orthosiphon thymiflorus because Flowers white or pink or mauve, in 15-20 cm long, terminal, racemes with distant whorls of flowers, each whorl with 5-6 flowers; pedicels 2-3 mm long. Calyx 6-7 mm long, deflexed, 2-lipped; conspicuously purple on the upper lip, green otherwise upper lip broad and entire, lower lip 4-lobed, lobes subulate, hairy.
here they are solitary, flower is also different.
It  matches with Orthosiphon viscosus var rubiginosus where petiole is longer than leaf blade, but the plant list merged this with O. thymiflorus
Interesting! In first look I thought it as Scutellaria discolour.
The inflorescence is various in Scutellaria, but not in Orthosiphon; orthosiphon has whorls of flowers. It looks similar to Scutellaria discolor Ref: see the herbarium specimen; http://envis.frlht.org/showherbarium.php?d=3984

Can this be Scutellaria violacea?
Leaves remind me of plectranthus... also of Lamiaceaae
but those seed capsule/ young fruits seem to be of scutellaria (as in s. integrifolia) also a lamiaceae
now I have confused myself
I too am not sure if this is Scutellaria ma'am. I was simply going by the general structure of the flowers that were earlier identified for me in this post and based on that, I could narrow down on this. :) But not sure since I did not figure it out using a key.
I've not worked on Scutellaria group, but my colleagues used to tell this common species as Scutellaria violacea, recently I've come across this species in SW Ghats (Nilgiris & Pulney hills), growing with Plectranthus sp.

I think it should be Scutellaria discolor Colebr. as per images herein.
