Here are mine pics from same place Location Kalatope, Chamba Altitude 1200 mts Habit herb Habitat wild Height 24-30 inches Season April This one is for sure Roylea cineraria....Lamiaceae, a plant much disccused earlier. Here are the links to older threads These are fruits with persisting calyx. Persisting calyx either provide protection to the fruit at the young stage or if it still persist while dispersal it facilitates wind dispersal. Here I think it is a wind dispersed fruit. syn: Ballota cinerea D. Don; Roylea elegans Wall.; R. calycina Briq. Thanks ... and ..., this shrub has finally been identified as Roylea cinerea Attached are pictures of Roylea cinerea captured at MNP in April 2014. Plant For ID : MNP,Mumbai : 270414 : AK-24 : 1 post by 1 author. Attachments (1). A cultivated, potted plant, could be a medicinal plant, at the Maharashtra Nature Park. It might be Orthosiphon stamineus, (Cat's whiskers) Lamiaceae Can it be Roylea elegans, a medicinal plant I had seen at the Flower Show in Jijamata Udyan? The leaves look similar. Yes it looks Roylea cinerea (Lamiaceae). Thanks a lot for confirming the id. Again a very common shrub from Morni Hills.. Roylea cineraria... References:
