Scandent herbs; stem terete, villous. Leaves to 6 x 2 cm, lanceolate, acute, rounded at base, crenulate, densely glandular villous. Spike 7 x 1 cm, cylindrical, terminal; bracts ovate, bracteoles lanceolate. Flowers many, densely packed; calyx 1.5 mm long; lobes 5, equal; corolla 3 mm long; lobes 4, equal, obtuse, hairy; stamens 4, filaments bearded, anthers 1-celled; ovary glabrous, style slender, stigma 2-lobed. Nutlets glabrous, smooth, brown.

To me it seems to be some species of Dysphylla (Most likely Dysophylla stellata).

It is Pogostemon auricularius the type species of Dysophylla. ... may further confirm by observing whether the plant is densely hairy through out, if so the species is confirmed.
