Clerodendrum speciosum ? ... also placed in Verbenaceae
in Pherozeshah Mehta Gardens (a.k.a. Hanging Gardens) on March 18, 2007
efi page on Clerodendrum × speciosum
I missed elaborating my query - I was not sure of the author.
I would go with Clerodendrum x speciosum as put in efloraofindia site.
Thank you very much.
Clerodendrum speciosum.

This is an ornamental, recorded from a garden in KUK...please validate/correct the id..
Clerodendrum speciosum..
what is KUK ...?
KUK- Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra
since KUK is a university.  this is a curated planting for sure. this should then be a good example// reference

Clerodendrum Species seen at the Friends of Trees Exhibition in Mumbai last year.
Cultivated garden plant.
For validation please.
I thinks this is indeed Clerodendrum thomsoniae, the Bleeding-heart vine.
Thanks ... for sharing. I have a question - how do you differentiate it with http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/30863/?
efi pages on Clerodendrum thomsoniae & Clerodendrum × speciosum
You won't have to go Dave's, instead go to edu site - http://florida.plantatlas.usf.edu/Plant.aspx?id=512
To me the species seems to be Clerodendrum speciosum.

Clerodendrum x speciosum Dombrain (Bleeding Heart Vine) was sighted in one house in Pantnagar. It is a beautiful tropical climber with colourful flowers and also colourful persistent calyx.
The species is not represented in eFI.

we are having Clerodendrum speciosum and Pseudocalymma alliaceum plants in our garden. Both the plants growing side by side. On 9-12-2016 I recorded Purple Sunbird (both male and female) on the flowers of Pseudocalymma alliaceum (at that time Clerodendrum viscosum flowers were not there). On 1-1-2017, I saw a Purple Sunbird (female) on the flowers of Clerodendrum speciosum. Bunches of Pseudocalymma alliacium were just next but the bird did not visit those flowers. But when Clerodendrum speciosum flowers were not there, the bird visited flowers of Pseudocalymma alliaceum. It seems Sunbirds prefer some flowers over others.
