Ajuga sp. probably A.prviflora.
I agree with your identification
Thank you ... I had posted Ajuga parviflora some time ago here (Re: [efloraofindia:217533] Mint family?/ABMAR09). That sample was distinctly more hairy, leaves lighter green with red tips and flowers tinier. The new flower I photographed yesterday was larger, leaves more purplish and less hairy. Therefore, I assumed it was not A. parviflora. I am attaching the earlier pictures here again for reference. Please advise.
2 images.
I think only two species found in your area are Ajuga parviflora & Ajuga integrifolia (Syn: Ajuga bracteosa Wall. ex Benth. [Illegitimate]) as per Ajuga
FOI pages are at Small-Flowered Bugleweed (Ajuga parviflora) & Bracted Bugleweed (Ajuga integrifolia)
In my opiniion it should be Ajuga bracteosa.
Ajuga bracteosa Wall. ex Benth., Pl. Asiat. Rar. 1: 59. 1830.
Perennial stoloniferous plant; Basal leaves spatulate to oblanceolate, up to 6 cm long on about 1 cm long petioles, villous especially on younger parts; stems up to 30 cm tall with sessile obovate to suborbicular leaves up to 15 mm long, margin irregularly undulate crenate; upper verticillaters forming a spike; calyx with linea-subulate teeth with villous ciliate margins; corolla purplish with slightly exserted tube; stamens somewhat exserted; nutlets oblong-obovoid.
Photographed from Batote in J & K state
This is also occasionally found in Siwaliks, please provide id for this..
tentatively I have placed this as Ajuga bracteosa ?
Yes ... I think you are right.

Please suggest if the posted plant can be Ajuga bracteosa or any other species of Ajuga..
Recorded from Gori Valley area..
Ajuga bracteosa I think.
This is quite common in Haryana Siwaliks, please correct the id if required, I have been taking this as Ajuga bracteosa ...recorded from Morni Hills, Haryana..

This herb was recorded from under-shade of a tea garden near Darjeeling...
please help to reach specific id of this Ajuga..
This might be Ajuga lobata, as the leaves are unique from other species.
To me it appears close to illustration of Ajuga bracteosa var. bracteosa Wall. ex Benth. rather than that of Ajuga lobata at

Leaves mostly basal, spathulate gradually narrowed towards petiole, up to 4 cm long, covered with soft woolly hairs
Flowers on short erect inflorescence, in axils of reduced floral leaves
Flowers small, bearly 4 mm long, white unopened
Habit suggests Ajuga of Lamiaceae but could be some thing else
Please help in ID
It looks like Ajuga parviflora Benth. and this is very common species inside Pine forest (Pinus roxburghii).
It is also known as NEELKANTHI, dorsal surface side of leaves have Purplish-blue colour.
It is Ajuga parviflora.
Looks different from other images at Ajuga parviflora Benth.

I think it is more closer to images at Ajuga integrifolia
