To me appears similar to images at Deutzia staminea Flora of Pakistan only mentions this species with distribution as N.W. Himalayas, Kashmir, Nepal & N. China along with Deutzia scabra Thunb. Checklist of Nepal mentions this with distribution as Himalaya (Kashmir to Bhutan) along with Deutzia bhutanensis Zaik. (E. Himalaya (Nepal to Bhutan)) and Deutzia compacta Craib (syn: Deutzia corymbosa var. hookeriana C. K. Schneid.) and distribution as Himalaya (Nepal to Bhutan), N. Assam, S. Tibet, N. Burma, W. China. Our plants, I think closer to Deutzia staminea as per comparative illustrations from Flora of China: http://www.efloras.org/object_page.aspx?object_id=12445&flora_id=2 Leaves are grey-tomentose underneath in D. staminea, green here. Moreover leaves are never more than 4.5 cm long in D. staminea, here they are much longer. Thanks, ... Calyx is quite different between the two as per comparative illustrations from Flora of China: Pl. show it clearly. Matter will be decided accordingly. |
