MS May, 2016/24 Aeschynanthus sp. for ID : 8 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (1) Location : Sairep Altitude : ca. 1,500 m. Date : 11/05/2016 Habit : Epiphytic trailing shrub Habitat : Wild Thanks, ..., Can you send close up of the flowers ? I'm attaching herewith another same flowers for id Attachments (1) Aeschynanthus species so far in eFloraofindia Please check with Aeschynanthus acuminatus Wall. ex A.DC. This is also common in Manipur. I thought it might be A. perrottetii, but not sure. Thanks, ..., for the Id. I think matches with images of Aeschynanthus perrottetii rather than those of Aeschynanthus acuminatus This looks like Aeschynanthus parviflorus although the present pic is not clear enough to be sure. In this species the style protrudes out more than the stamens. In another close species Aeschynanthus hookeri the style is shorter than the stamens. In the uppermost bunch of flowers in the pic, it does appear that the style is long-projecting out. Thanks, ... I think matches with images of Aeschynanthus perrottetii rather than those of Aeschynanthus parviflorus I agree. I did not know about A. perrottetii Also not Aeschynanthus perrottetii A.DC. as sepals look different as well as no distribution (as found only in western Ghats). It is some other species not available in efi so far. |
