Annual herb up to 80 cm long, 4-angled; leaves linear-lanceolate, 3-7 cm long, 1-5 nerved; inflorescence paniculate, strict; flowers 4-merous; calyx lobes oblong-linear, nearly equalling corolla; corolla bluish-white to greenish with green or light purple veins or dots, lobes oblong, acute, up to 10 mm long, with green rounded gland at base of each lobe, slightly fimbriate; flaments 5-7 mm long; capsule 6-9 mm long.
