Flora of Manipur: Castanopsis tribuloides : 5 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (2)
Castanopsis tribuloides (Fagaceae). The roasted/boiled nut is sold (like our groundnut) in the market. The kernel is edible (tasty too!!) said to be rich in starch. This was a nice time pass during hectic travels across the state. But to be honest, our two eyes are not enough to fully enjoy the beauty of the nature here. You (especially if u r from south) will feel like you are in a different world.
