I have attached two pictures of a plant to this mail. Could anyone help me to identify this? It was collected from Kannur district in Kerala. I understand that it has got high medicinal value and used as medicine by conventional practitioners. If anyone can give the local names (malayalam, tamil/kannada), that will be more helpfull for me. this is Zornia species of Fabaceae. There are 3-4 species (Z. diphylla, Z. gibbosa, Z. quilonensis etc.) in Kerala distinguished mainly on features like leaf shape, presence of gland dots on leaves & bracts etc. Have you other pics of this species ????????
