However, as you mention that this is a tree and assuming that there were stipular spines in pairs, we can say that such paniculate inflorescences of heads are seen in Vachellia leucophloea. These trees are very common in South India especially Mysore and Bangalore. I am familiar with this tree. It seems okay. Nothing to worry about it as you are a regular visitor to that place.
