Leaflets membranous, sparsely hirsute; calyx teeth as long as tube ----- T. labialis Spreng. (a slender twining species in all provinces). (ii) leaflets small, acute or sub-obtuse; racemes elongated, usually stalked. Leaflets sub-coriaceous, densely pubescent beneath; calyx teeth shorter than tube ----- T. debilis Prain (Syn. of Teramnus mollis Benth.) (a slender twining species in C. & E. Bengal). (iii) leaflets large, acuminate or acute; racemes congested, sessile; calyx teeth shorter than tube ----- T. flexilis Benth. (a rather robust twining species in Sundribuns and Chittagong). In another common species Teramnus labialis have glabrous pods, while they are hairy in Teramnus mollis; A small climber seen growing wild at Maharashtra Nature Park, Mumbai on 15/11/11. Very tiny flowers & green pods when picture was taken. Id please. Look like Teramnus mollis Benth. Supporting ... Another common species Teramnus labialis have glabrous pods which is not the case here.. Just saw your post. at my place in alibaug over the past few weeks I think it is Teramnus mollis. In T. labialis pods not hairy. Yes ..., you are right T. mollis Pods are too hairy compared to T. labialis I see in my area (Surat) Only DSCN0567aa.jpg is of Teramnus labialis as per Mohina ji's another thread: fabaceae for id mm4 10162011 Others are of T. mollis only.

I have Teramnus labialis and Teramnus mollis, both in my area and I differentiate them by lot of straight erect hairs on mature pods being T. mollis ....otherwise, leaflet size and presence of hairs on leaf, inflorescence etc, flower color is variable. ... should find mature pods.
