- observed this plant on the trail to Kanheri caves in Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Mumbai. - I have also seen flowering of this plant in Araey colony.
A large climber at Phansad WLS,Maharashtra Could this be Spatholobus parviflorus? Absolutely right ... If not in flowers, the local name 'Palashin' often leads to a wrong ID as Butea superba.

Butea parviflora fruiting: Was not aware that the pods of Butea parviflora [Palas-vel] like Butea monosperma [Palas] contained only one seed until I took these photographs on my property at Shahapur last Sunday. Am not sure if this is the same for the other species of Butea. Sending a few photographs.
