October 8, 2011 at 10.11am Am quite comfortable with Smithia setulosa. This photo indeed shows large handsome flower of Smithia setulosa, about 15 - 20 mm across. All aspects about this plants are larger in comparison to other species of Smithia found in northern Western Ghats. The full grown plant stands about 1 - 1.5 m tall, with large compound leaves, the leaflets as large as compound leaves of the other 2 species. Both S. hirsuta and S. bigemina are smaller plants, less than a metre high.
