One can also see a leaf of Tiger Foot Morning Glory! Please identify! Could this be Rhynchosia minima? Rhynchosia minima is also the call from me Identity is a question mark. R.minima is a slender trailing annual with small obtuse leaflets and small yellow flowers - seen in Southern India in Karnataka. However, a variant var. laxiflora has larger leaflets and acute at apex- reported from Southern India. Better to check Flora of Delhi by Maheswari before arriving at any conclusion. I find these closer to images at Rhynchosia minima (L.) DC.
Kindly help me to identify the enclosed specimen of Rhynchosia The plant was observed at Sattankulam, Tuticorin Dist. Tamilnadu The entire plant is pubescent. Pl confirm that whether it could be Rhynchosia minima var. memnonia (Delile) T.Cooke It is Rhynchosia minima. I am not sure about the variety Thank you Sir. In Rhynchosia minima: Racemes 6-12-flowered, short-peduncled, usually exceeding the leaves. But in the specimen racemes laxer 2-3 flowered and the leaves are larger than R. minima and vestiture. Pl. also check with images at Rhynchosia aurea (Willd.) DC. It looks like Rhynchosia aurea Pods look different from those at Rhynchosia aurea Can it be Rhynchosia minima ? By the look of it, yes. Pod size equal to or less than 2 cm will be confirmatory. Flowers are not showing red brown streaks, but that is common and variable, Flowering phenology? Does the elevation match ? 900-2500 m. according to the FoC ! I think that it could be Rhynchosia minima var. memnonia (Delile) T.Cooke
