I don't know how wild it is but if planted in gardens it can grow very rapidly and spreads around a vast areas. Often it can grow in open spaces as garden escape too. ... is right... it escapes and grows spontaneously over extensive grounds, I know of a upper end club west of Calcutta that had acres of green lawn, that was almost fully invaded by two plants that I love... one was this: mimosa pudica and another was bringharaj ..eclipta alba... e. alba is I think native and m. pudica is an import being from mexico originally if I remember ... both were behaving as if they were very comfortable in the area ..... I am not sure if it would be termed narturalized..since it was not a wilderness area... does someone know the strict definition of NATURALIZED weeds?? ......, you mean you have seen Mimosa pudica growing wild in the forest of Mumbai?? I had seen this at the base of Trombay hills. May be as indicated by yourself, ... and ..., this could as well be the garden escape. Thanks for sharing your views.
