Medicago polymorpha from Kaithal-2012: This one is M. polymorpha Linn., Sp. Pl. 779; M. denticulata Willd., Sp. Pl. 3: 1414, 1802

Leaflets obovate-cuneate, 1.2 x 0.5 cm, faintly denticulate, glabrous, apex mucronate, base cuneate-deltoid. Flowers yellow, few, solitary or umbelled. Pods 0.5 x 0.5 cm, subglobose, of 2-4 spirals, margins with a double row of spines.
The plant is a very common weed of winter and sometimes it becomes very dominant in the field, often found growing with other seasonal weed Melilotus alba.
