Medicago laciniata (L.) Mill.;

Glabrous spreading annual; leaves trifoliate on up to 2.5 cm long petiole, leaflets up to 12 mm long, obovate-cuneate, dentate, stipules laciniate; peduncle longer than petiole, 1-2 flowered; corolla yellow, 4-5 mm long; fruit with 5-7 coils, up to 10-seeded, hooked spines in two rows on sutures.
