ANAUG35 Indigofera dalzellii/Indigofera hendecaphylla? : 8 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (2).

It is Indigofera dalzellii
efi pages on Indigofera dalzellii &  Indigofera hendecaphylla
Indigofera dalzelli not the Indigofera hendecaphylla
..., just yesterday, I saw this post by Sushant More on Facebook. Taking lead from that, I looked up the digital flora of Karnataka for further details on Indigofera dalzellii. The distribution of my upload Indigofera sp. is completely off. Indigofera dalzellii is endemic to the western ghats as per the Indigofera dalzellii page also.
I feel this is an entirely different species. In fact it seems to match another earlier post of mine- Indigofera nummulariifolia identified by .... Here is the JCB Description with photos and keys for that. And finally, there are only three species which have simple leaves as per Gamble- Indigofera nummulariifolia, Indigofera linifolia and Indigofera cordifolia. The second and third can be ruled out I feel because of lack of narrow lanceolate leaves and cordate leaves respectively.
Please validate if this is Indigofera nummulariifolia.
Yes, it does look like Indigofera nummulariifolia. However, a picture of fruits would help confirm the id.
Thanks ... Unfortunately I did not spot the fruits on the plant then. Let us leave it at probably being I. nummulariifolia then.
First of all I have never seen any Indigofera. I do not have any literature as well. But, based on the KEW herbaria I agree with your ID.
What surprises me is the size of flowers in the other species in our database.
Thank you sir. I wonder if the dry habitat has anything to do with the size of flowers.
I am not subscribing the idea ...
