wildflower for ID:  Seen in the Wayanad/ Bandipur Sanctuary. A small leafless shrub covered with flowers.
Please check species of Abrus of Fabaceae family. Most probably Abrus precatorius.
I wish to see picture of leaves if you have the same.
I also have a feeling that this is Abrus precatorius as ... indicated
Or, it may be Indigofera tinctoria.
I not think it is Arbus precatorius as I have the creeper in my garden. This was a tallish shrub with hardly any leaves.
I could see some leaves in the background. Would you try get a picture of those available leaves.
Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately the pictures I have do not show the leaves clearly. Will need to try and get fresh ones when I travel that way again. Once the plant stops flowering it blends in with the rest of the greenery in the forest and becomes difficult to distinguish!
I dont think this is Abrus.
I have never observed a brancehd inflorescence in Abrus..
May be some species of Indigofera, but not sure
Kindly Check with Indigofera cassiodes. It is often leafless when flowering.
I think ... got it correct. Further, ... guess was correct. The leaves in the background (kind of leafless condition) had given an impression of Abrus. Thanks to ... and ... for correcting me.

I sent Nepali names , did not you get ? Thank you. Saroj Kasaju
I sent Nepali names , did not you get ?

I must have missed your post in this thread. Thank you very much for the Nepali names for this plant. Will soon add them to my blog. I have given up updating the Google site because it is going to get sunset by Sep 2021.
Sir, I am a native speaker of Indigenous community Santali joined this group yesterday, happy to see my language mentioned there :-). As their was no script (Ol Chiki) for the added name so thought to correct and add one. I want to correct the name of the plant in Santali language, it should be as follows:
Reason follows:
Santali meaning: dare huter (dare - tree and huter - natively called hutad)
Corrected one:
Santali: ᱦᱩᱴᱟᱹᱲ Hutad

Thank you very much ... I am very glad that the names of plants in Santali will be in its own Ol Chiki script, as well as validated for any errors.
I will incorporate the correction shortly in my notes.
