Indigofera cassioides ?;
This Indigofera was shot from along the path connecting Ghanghariya and Gobind Ghat....specification please... It looks like Indigofera cassioides. I have changed my mind after seeing ... post. It looks similar to your plant, and perhaps from the same locality. So your plant could also be Indigofera heterantha. Sorry for my wrong lead. Let's wait for confirmation. May be Indigofera heterantha I too think it is Indigofera pulchella or Indigofera cassioidies based on number of leaflets which is 19 or anywhere between 7 and 19
Please help in identification. Picture taken in forest near Raipur city, Chhattisgarh. Taken on 16 January, 2010.

Fabacaceae week Indigofera tinctoria for sharing from Nashik : 9 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (4) attaching images of Indigofera tinctoria for sharing Does not seem to match with images at Indigofera tinctoria. Pl. check comparative images at Indigofera after checking again it seems to be Indigofera heterantha. please confirm Indigofera heterantha is mainly found in Himalayas as per distribution below: http://www.legumes-online.net/ildis/aweb/td080/td_16976.htm This should be Indigofera tinctoria; leaves pinnately compound, leaflets usually 9-13 as in two attached images. Found on hill slopes in shady areas, common in Karanjul and Sabargada areas of Nashik. A much closer species to I. cassioides differs in leaflet count (13-21 in I. cassioides). kindly see the link below, I believe that this sp. is Indigofera cassioides
Images are submitted for id suggestion, this shrub was recorded from Morni Hills, Haryana... Indigofera species in eFloraofindia (with details/ keys from published papers/ regional floras/ FRLHT/ FOI/ Biotik/ efloras/ books etc., where ever available on net) I think close to images at Indigofera hebepetala Baker I do not think this is Indigofera hebepetala.. This is more likely to be I. cassioides..!! Thanks, ..., But image of Indigofera cassioides DC. look quite different. Pl. see the post: ANJUN44/45 Indigofera sp. for identification 4 (Churdhar Trip 44) Yes ..., I have gone through these pages, there is lot of confusion in this genus and it needs to be critically examined. Actually I had posted those images on facebook group and the inputs received pointed to Indigofera cassioides DC, but in any case this is not I. hebepetala.. |
