Keys in Flora of Pakistan are confusing me:
28 (26)Flower shorter than the subtending bract Indigofera atropurpurea
+Flower longer than the subtending bract (29)

29 (28)Calyx teeth deltoid, not exceeding the cup Indigofera hamiltonii
+Calyx teeth lanceolate, exceeding the cup Indigofera himalayensis

Here flower appears to be longer than the subtending bract.
Indigofera hamiltonii Grah. ex Duthie & Prain (March April)
Indigofera atropurpurea Buch.-Ham.ex Horn. (August- Sept.)
Flora of China gives the following keys:
40 (39)Leaves 3- or 5(-11)-foliolate, to 2.2 × 1.2 cm; racemes much longer than leaves. 24 I. hamiltonii
+Leaves (7-)11-19(or 21)-foliolate, to 6.5 × 2.5 cm; racemes equal to slightly longer than leaves. 25 I. atropurpurea
In view, we may take ... post as Indigofera atropurpurea
Interestingly, Checklist of Nepal gives Indigofera hamiltonii Graham ex Duthie & Prain as a syn. of Indigofera atropurpurea Buch.-Ham. ex Hornem.
So what do you think ...? If that is correct then we need to review earlier posts I guess. I am at Kalimpong for a few weeks as such I shall check once again when I am back.
