Fabaceae-Faboideae (Papilionaceae) Week: Desmodium microphyllum????? from Assan barrage Dakpathar: This small herb photographed along Assan barrage Dakpathar in September, appears to be Desmodium microphyllum with rounded leaflet apex. Kindly give your opinion It looks me like Desmodium heterocarpon Desmodium heterocarpon is a much larger shrub with leaflets longer than 3 cm and flowers in a terminal or axillary up to 7 cm long raceme. This one was a much smaller plant, leaflets barely 1 cm or less long and flowers in few-flowered raceme. Flora of Chakrata: Desmodium sp.4 for id: This yet another Desmodium sp. was shot in September 2011 from Chakrata and neighbourhood....which sp. is this? I hope these pics can help identify.. I think same D. triflorum Thanks for inputs sir, this does not appear same to me...though not clear in the pics, but leaves here are not trifoliate, leaf(lets) not emarginate...moreover the pedicels are hairy...hoping for reconsideration.... Yes ..., the leaves appear to be simple. Let us wait to get ID This is Desmodium microphyllum Thanks ... for inputs..perhaps more investigation is required....Please go through this link.. I think ... is correct, as was tentative identification of my plant in the link. According to Flora of China 1-foliate condition is common in D. microphyllum. Thanks ... for your independant conclusion which helps settling about my plant also. It means the plant posted in the above link is not D. microphyllum (and may be D. triflorum)... Yes ..., still some confusion. Three plants and only two names: Fabaceae (Faboideae) Fortnight: Desmodium microphyllum from Chakrata Tiger fall road-GSOCT15/20 : 2 posts by 1 author.
