Desmodium Sp. Or Alysicarpus ?? : 6 posts by 4 authors. Attachments (2)
Came across this herb around 20cm tall.
Location: Near Tosheghar waterfall, Satara region.

this is Desmodium alysicarpoides
Very nice flowers ... !
Can we have key identification/differentiating characters to differentiate both genus Desmodium and Alysicarpus?
As per ..., there will be a sterile terminal segment on the fruits in Alysicarpus and is lacking in Desmodium. I think this demarcation will make our identification more easier than considering the the floral characters
Closer to images at Desmodiastrum racemosum var. rotundifolium (Baker) A.Pramanik & Thoth. rather than those at Desmodium alysicarpoides
