Requesting to please ID these white flowers fallen on the forest floor after nearly 2 weeks of heavy rains on the Shilonda Trail, SGNP, Mumbai in June 2013. These are flower may be of Karanj (Pongamia pinnata flowers) or Derris scandens. Both the plants are very common in Shilonda trails. One is tree and other is woody climber. To verify please look around and find out the habit of the plant. I think it's more likely to be Derris scandens, as it is blooming all over the area now. Pongamia flowering is mostly over. Thanks ... I will be visiting Shilonda again next week, hopefully will get to see the flowers again... I visited the place again with the TAW team this weekend.
