Fabaceae-Caesalpinioideae (Caesalpiniaceae)--Cassia leptophylla: As this site is dedicated to posting pictures of species found growing in India, I don't want to post many species from the US, but these species should grow somewhere there locally. Perhaps they are in the trade there? I will limit to just a few. Cassia leptophylla here photographed in southern California. Native to Brazil, grows to approximately 10m/30 ft. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z93/fastfeat/DSC05666.jpg http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z93/fastfeat/DSC05664.jpg I know this plant as Golden Medallion tree... full bloom laden trees are common in Summer, ... ... starting in about June... so if you stay till then,... they are a sight ... very pleasant looking...
