Thank you very much ... for this help with the name and clarification.

Wanted to know whether Mezoneuron cucullatum (syn. of Caesalpinia cucullata) is distributed in Nepal; any known local name ?
Yes is distributed in Nepal but no Nepali name so far.

Two names: baghasora and bagh-anchora, figure as names for Caesalpinia cucullata (and its popular synonyms - Mezoneuron cucullatum, Mezoneurum cucullatum) in many publications and resources on internet, for instance ... Flora of Assam Volume 2 by Kanjilal UN, Kanjilal PC & A Das (1938)
Please help me with the names in native script.

Caesalpinia cucullata  Assamese name Baghasora (বাঘাচোৰা) or Bagh-anchora (বাঘ-আঁচোৰা)

Thank you very much ... for this great help.

Please help with the Tamil name indumatticcingai in native script, for Caesalpinia cucullata (syn. Mezoneuron cucullatum).
Ref:

I think two names are combined here, as per FRLHT database. The possible Tamil script would be: இண்டு (indu), மாட்டிச்சீங்கை (matticcingai). The name 'Indu' is also generally applied to Acacia caesia (or any climbing Acacias!).
Thank you very very much ... for the names in native script and the clarity.

Please help me with the Kannada name matta seege in native script listed at ENVIS - FRLHT.
Please validate ಮಟ್ಟ ಸೀಗೆ
ಮಟ್ಟ (matta) = inferior ... one of many meanings at Wiktionary
ಸೀಗೆ (seege) ... a name for Acacia concinna ... Kanaja

The meaning (s) of the word (s) is / are more or less correct:
ಮಟ್ಟ (matta) = inferior
ಸೀಗೆ (seege)  =  a name for Acacia concinna
However, Seege means  = Soapnut.  Therefore, the  meaning of 'matta seege' is  'inferior soapnut plant'

Request you help in Identification : 7 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (2)
Discovered an old picture, couldn't identify at that time. Could not go back and get it in flowering or fruiting stage. Any pointers to ID welcome..
Location: Meghalaya, Cherrapunjee area
Altitude-about 1200m
Photograph taken: January 2016
Habit: shrub, about 8-9 feet tall
Leaves: compound, paripinnate, glabrous, thick. Petiole swollen, with a jointed look at the terminal leaflet end.
Stem: woody, thorny

Zanthoxylum oxyphyllum Edgew.??

Not Zanthoxylum in my opinion...perhaps of Fabaceae, Connaraceae or some family with swollen pulvini.

Thank you … The stem with spines match closely. However, the leaf characters are very different. Leaves are glossy and paripinnate; Petiole is thin, glamorous, soft Compound leaves are paired, opposite..
These characters are different from Zanthoxylum
Your comments welcome...
In fact, there are more similarities with Mezoneuron cucculatum...
Ok ...

Yes. to me also appears close to images at Caesalpinia cucullata
