Astragalus agrestis ???
ILDIS does not gives its distribution in India: http://www.legumes-online.net/ildis/aweb/td074/td_15703.htm
So may be some other species.
As to the suggestion of A.agrestis - this species is not recorded for Ladakh, indeed Stewart (an American) does not list it within his 'Annotated Catalogue' covering Pakistan & Kashmir - I am sure he would have mentioned it as this is a native of N.America (and E.Asia, whatever that means).
So we can eliminate this possibility.  Will slowly work on it - need to check it is an Astragalus, rather than an Oxytropis?"
