Mallotus polycarpus ?;
yes it is Mallotus nudiflorus (L.) Kulju & Welzen (Syn. T. nudiflora). It could be Trewia polycarpa. I could not find any close up of leaves on searching the net. I am not sure about the id. Please wait for the plant to flower. This tree was shown during a group walk at Sanjay Gandhi National Park earlier this month. Since the pictures on FOI showed leaves that looked a bit different, I put up the pictures for validation. Unlikely that I will visit that place again on my own.
