Please help with the tree ID : Attachments (4 + 3 + 2). 10 posts by 6 authors.
Is this Portia tree (Thespesia Populnea)?
There aren't any flowers.
The foliage looks like that from distance. But in its leaves the petiole is attached away from the edge.
Tree Location: Chhota Kashmir in Aare Colony, Mumbai.
Or is it Tree Mallow / Hibiscus Tiliaceus?
I don't believe that this is Thespesia, based on the attachment of the petiole to the leaf blade.
Unfortunately, I'm not certain what it is.
I believe this is a Macaranga. Perhaps Macaranga tanarius.
It is Macaranga peltata locally called Chanda.
in marathi called as Chandava
it is not Thespesia
I too seconds ...
Attached some of the confirmed specimen of Macaranga peltata from Kolli Hills, Eastern Ghats, taken during the March, 2007.

Macaranga tomentosa?? : Attachments (1). 4 posts by 3 authors.
From the leaves i.e. the stalk holding up the leaf like an umbrella (peltate) I presume this is Macaranga tomentosa. The Macaranga tree is one of few trees that have large leaves in an otherwise leafless forest of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Mumbai during the current summer months.
It is Macaranga peltata [M. tomentosa] locally called Chanda.

The plant in the first few pictures are Macaranga peltata of Euphorbiaceae family.
The last two pictures belong to some other species and you are suppose to post one species in single thread.
I think last two picture are Erythrina variegata (syn. E. indica Lam., E. variegata var. orientalis (L.) Merr.) Family: Fabaceae.
