Yes it is Baliospermum solanifolium (Euphorbiaceae). A small perennial herb hardly reaching to 1m here in Pantnagar.
Thank you ... this particular plant was much bigger than that. Located at FRLHT, Bangalore.
It is a common plant all over India.

I noticed the capsules the day before yesterday. Fortunately, I didn't have camera with me. "Fortunately"! You ask me why? If I had the camera with me I would had taken the pictures of all parts except those seeds. So, I returned home empty handed but with details of the plant in my brain cells. Started reading my copy of treasures - Roxburgh, Prain..... A few words of Flora Indica caught my attention, "Seeds exactly like those of Ricinus communis, but much smaller." So, next day, i.e. yesterday I took camera with me and returned to that place I didn't forget to take seed picture. Here is the seed of Baliospermum solanifolium (Burm.) Suresh.
yes ... a minute or two ago I saw the full case you submitted, and I did think the seeds look uncannily like bherenda seeds/ castor beans... and now you say it here... great...

Thank you for showing the range of variation.
It is surprising that Sir Prain gave its distribution in "Chota Nagpur; Behar; Tirhut; N. Bengal; Chittagong", not in our area. But there is a small community in a bamboo thicket near Dankuni.
Thank you very much for confirming.
It is a widespread species.  I have seen specimens from South Bengal.
Once I thought I have covered most of the wild flowering plant species found in Hooghly, but now I am thinking that there must be more surprises awaiting for me to unfold in future.
when did Prain write and publish the book?
'Bengal Plants' was published in 1903.
The plant is, however, rare in South Bengal.
It is sad that this is the time when dry leaves and other dried weeds in bamboo thickets are burned to clear the places, and perhaps serve as manure. I have already seen patches of burned portion in that thicket. Since this is an annual practice I hope they will survive this year too.
Also, Sir, I have noticed that once common Croton bonplandianus Baill is now uncommon in our area!

Requesting ID of following wine, about 5-7ft long. Photo taken on 13Mar15 near Pandharpur, Maharashtra.
Looks like a Dalechampia (Euphorbiaceae).  Near D. tamnifolia but I have some doubts.
Further observations and collection of material are desirable.
The last three pictures look very much like Baliospermum solanifolium. Not sure but...
Yes ...,
The leaves are very similar to B. solanifolium but please consider that here it is a climber and the female pedicels are very short. I am myself puzzled about the identity and we have to look into other families also.
At present it is appearing interesting but we need further details and more suggestions about the possible identity.
May I request you to pl. send the original image of the first attachment.
Other three looks to be of a different plant of Baliospermum solanifolium
Please note that the first image is of a climber.
I am attaching true B. solanifolium. Attachments (2)

Only first two plants from this list are reported to occur in H.P.

 Baliospermum montanum ... commonly known as: red physic nut, wild castor, wild croton, wild sultan seed • Bengali:
-  I had spotted 2 beetles on it and both gave good pose to my camera.
- They are not beetles but Jewel bugs [Chrysocoris stolli].

- This herbaceous shrub is not a climbing herb as much have observed in forests around Thane ... though of course, the plant often grows slant up to a metre or two.
- This is very strange. Does this bug love Euphorbiaceae plants? If anyone can throw some light on this. May be it loves Euphorbian latex :))
I have seen it on Securinega most of the times.
- This bug and other relatives of this bug is a florivore. Generally they love to feed on flower buds at its tender stage sometimes I saw them feeding the nectary as well. My present study on Syzygium involves predation as
well. There I use to see a bug (we havent identified it) feeding on the nectary and they partially damages the nectary and few occasions it ultimately damages the flower itself. One has to check whether the bug feed on the latex of Euphorbiacean members. More studies are now on track to record the predation of several species.
It happens with orchid flowers as well especially ground orchids.
- Sending some of my photographs of the Jewel Bug [Chrysocoris stolli] taken at my farm at Shahapur.

This is definitely not a Barlaria. It belongs to the family Euphorbiaceae.
Looks like a species of Croton to me.
Thanks a lot ... You guided me in correct direction. I searched the net and at the moment it looks close to Euphorbia dentata. but 3 sided seed pod on my plant is at leaf node. I am still searching.
uploading one more image here.

The photographs are bad. However, they look like Baliospermum solanifolium.
Yes, I too believe now it is Baliospermum solanifolium.
The story fits too. I had bought it from Jijamata Udyan nursery. When I went back and told them it is not barleria. They told me that somebody had sold them by the name of Vajradanti. I think the seller must have told them it is Danti (Marathi name for Baliospermum solanifolium) and they confused it with Vajradanti!

Baliospermum?

Yes!
May be Baliospermum solanifolium (Burm.) Suresh as per comparative images at Baliospermum
I was able to locate the flower show folder and find the correct name.
It's the same as you have suggested.
