lyonia ovalifolia:

lyonia ovalifolia, from ericaceae family

near garibans, singalila national park

second week of april this year

reference flowers of india

3 plates belong to Pieris formosa (Wall.) D. Don (Ericaceae), never Lyonia ovalifolia
Pl. take it as confirmed id.

Attached are pictures of Pieris japonica Forest Flame from the Chicago Botanic Garden captured in May 2013.
Kindly validate.
Thank you for this image. Looking like Pieris formosa (Wall.) D. Don. if P. japonica, then leaves will be more narrowly lanceolate! Corolla are nearly equal externally in both cases, unless these are dissected.
Thank you ... for the correct ID...
