this is a branch of tree with immature fruits, if any one can help me in the Id of the plant. Photographed at E.Davari dist. of A.P. ; the images were sent by a friend for identification,

Meliaceae

Not Meliaceae

Please check for Opilia amentacea.
Its a species of Elaeocarpus.

Thanks, ..., for the genus id.
Closest I could reach is Elaeocarpus variablis Zmarzty as per comparative images at Elaeocarpus

it looks closer to Elaeocarpus lanceifolius Roxb.,
because of these characters
Trees; leaves lanceolate, 10-15 x 3.5-5cm, base attenuate and apex acute, margin serrulate, glabrous above, nerves 11-13. Flowers white, intra-axillary; racemes stiff and shorter than leaves; drupe oblong, 3.5-4cm long at maturity, 1-seeded.
