Grass For ID : Muscat : 270314 : AK-40 : 12 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (2).
Grass seen in the backwaters, near a beach.
Is it Typha Species?
It may be a Schenoplectus species.
Schoenoplectus lacustris...
For typha i am not sure..
Not grass nor typha. It is Cyperaceae, probably in the Scirpus group
I think it is not Schoenoplectus lacustris, can be a form of Schoenoplectus litoralis (Schrad.) Palla but need a specimen to confirm the identity. Many Cyperaceae members looks similar and spikelet has to be dissected.
Is it from India?
Thanks for follow up and the feedback. It is not from India. This picture is taken in Muscat, Oman.
