Kindly help in ID. I think Pycreus pumilus cyperaceae id from Hooghly 4/11/12 sk2: This is growing at ground level in an uncultivated moist land. It is so dwarf that couldn't find its culm. Moreover, it was hard to clear surrounding grasses and other tiny herbs growing densely along with this cyperus member. Any chance of Cyperus cuspidatus Kunth? This small, about 15 cm or less, cyperaceae is also growing in front of our school. Failed to find any suggestive id. This may be young stage of Pycreus pumilus (L.) I know nothing (botanical) about them, except that 1) if they have triangular stem/culm they are cyperaceae, 2) if they have round hollow stem they are usually poaceae; except that some may be juncaceae.
