Zehneria umbellate?
Local Marathi name Gometi
Photographed at Sagargad, Alibag
... yes for Solena amplexicaulis (family: Cucurbitaceae).
Can it be Solena umbellata as per attachment (DeWilde_Solena_Blumea2004 (1).pdf) ?

Your image at link is of Solena umbellata and not of Solena amplexicaulis
as per the following:
REVIEW OF THE GENUS SOLENA (CUCURBITACEAE)-  W.J.J.O. DE WILDE & B.E.E. DUYFJES- BLUMEA 49: 69–81 (2004)
The Cucurbitaceae of India: Accepted names, synonyms, geographic distribution, and information on images and DNA sequences by Susanne S. Renner, Arun K. Pandey. (2013)

Thank you, need to correct them :)

I hope Trichosanthes costata
Solena heterophylla does not have ridges on fruit.

Earlier it was identified as Solena heterophylla Google Groups. Is this different.
I think ... was right when he posted it as Gymnopetalum
Gymnopetalum chinense is now synonym of Trichosanthes costata
The things became clear when I visited Jim Corbett last year to get clear pictures and appreciated differences in flower, fruit size, shape (more elongated here) and ridges.

I think it looks different from Gurcharan Singh ji's images from Corbett.
I think it should be Solena umbellata (Willd.) W.J. de Wilde & Duyfjes with ridged fruit as per images herein.
