Schmid); Tufted perennial herb with procumbent rooting stems; leaves alternate, sessile, linear to oblong, terete, 10-15 mm long, up to 3 mm broad, base with truncate spur, apex mucronate; flowering shoots simple, up to 30 cm long, with terminal corymbiform cymes, 15-25-flowered; flowers yellow, 5-9 merous, sepals erect connate, ovate, yellowish green; petals spreading , yellow, oblong, 6-7 mm long; follicles erect, brown. Sedum sexangulare and S. rupestre look very similar the differences are S. rupestre: leaves 10-15 mm long, alternate, petals 6-7 mm long S. sexangulare: leaves 3-6 mm long, usually in 6 rows, petals 3-4 mm long
