Requesting the name of the leaf and tree : Attachments (1). 5 posts by 4 authors.
I saw a person collecting the leaves of this small shrub saying this is a diabetics tree - does anyone know the name of this and how it helps us?
Costus igneus is the insulin plant. Traditionally people consume its leaves to bring down blood sugar.
It is Costus speciosus (Koenig) J.E. Smith, Costaceae
It is called Insulin plant - Costus igneus.
Sorry for the mistake happened from my side. This is C. pictus
