The Disporum canotiense image on the eflora of India page looks like D. calcaratum. That said, these are D. cantoniense, but they are quite different from the Chinese D. cantoniense which have dark purple flowers. The plants in Manipur and adjacent Myanmar are typically this pale pink color. Location : Dampui, Mizoram Date : 02-05-2016 Habit : Undershrub ? Habitat : Wild Polygonatum sps. (Asparagaceae). This does look like cantoniense, but the length of the spurs should be measured to make sure. A reply from another thread: The Disporum canotiense image on the eflora of India page looks like D. calcaratum I'll stay with Disporum cantoniense unless the spurs are longer than 3 mm and the plant occurs at lower elevations. Long spurs and an elevation under 1000 m would suggest this is D. calcaratum.
