Tarenaya spinosa (Jacq.) Raf.  (FoNA for Tarenaya spinosa (Jacquin) Rafinesque says sepals green, lanceolate, 6-8 × 0.8-1.3 mm, glandular-pubescent; petals white or greenish white (somewhat reddish abaxially), .... stamens white, 20-50 mm; anthers 9-10 mm.
While for Tarenaya hassleriana (Chodat) H. H. Iltis, it states sepals (reflexed after anthesis), green, linear-lanceolate, 5-7 × 0.8-1.3 mm, glabrous; petals usually pink or purple, sometimes white (or fading to white by second day), .... stamens purple, 30-50 mm; anthers 9-10 mm. )
