i think Salacia oblonga ?
Fruit epicarp is smooth with reddish colour seems to be Salacia chinensis only. I hope it contains 1 seed.
Salacia chinensis L. old name Salacia prinoides DC. distributed in Indo-Malesia region. Common in Moist deciduous forests and sacred groves.
Yes it has one seed. Thanks for ID
I think it's S. chinensis. The flowers are the easy tool to distinguish this species

Could you please validate that, the below photos of two separate climbing shrubs are of the same species:  'Salacia chinensis L.'  from Celastraceae family.
The photos are taken from two different shrubs near to each other (I have tagged the photos as 'ClimbingShrub1' and 'ClimbingShrub2')
Shrub 1 was flowering very sparsely, only 3 flowers seen. No fruits.
Shrub 2 had just one fruit and no flowers.
Location: Charkop- sector 8, Kandivali West, Mumbai
Date: 29th-May-2018

Habitat: small forest patch, next to a pond
Details of the shrub: Both were Climbing shrubs, Both had opposite leaves but the leaves had a lot of variation in shape as can be seen in photos.
Leaf apex varied from shortly-acuminate to subobtuse.

You are right. All the pictures are of Salacia chinensis L. [Celastraceae].
