Scandent shrubs, branchlets lenticellate. Leaves 10-20 x 7-9 cm, oblong, obtuse at base and apex, faintly crenate; nerves 11-13 pairs, distinct below. Flowers pinkish yellow, 3-9 together; pedicels 1 cm long, slender; sepals 1.5 mm long, triangular; petals 2.5 x 1.5 mm, ovate, acute, glabrous, yellow with white margins; filaments 0.5 mm long, curved. Berry 3 cm across, obovoid, coarsely rugose. Fruits not seen. Flowering and fruiting: January-March Semi-evergreen and evergreen forests Southern Western Ghats (Endemic)
