looking at stipule-like structures at nodes I thought I had nailed Polycarpon, but deeply bifid petals are baffling.
Perhaps Drymaria cordata would be the answer.
I also think this can be Drymaria sp.
yes it is Drymaria cordata

We would like to know the name of the following creeping herbs. Could you help us please. Thank you.
Looks like young plants of Stellaria media.
How about Drymaria cordata?
I think ... is right, leaves appear cordate in most leaves.

Please reconsider the ID of this species.
Leaves in the fourth picture (DSC_0430) clearly indicate that it IS DRYMARIA CORDATA (CARYOPHYLLACEAE).
The post may please be shifted to Drymaria page.
Thank you for the correction, …

Climbing herb for Id from Himachal- RS110516-1 : 7 posts by 5 authors. Attachments (1)
I am unable to identify this plant species. You are requested to help in identification.
It is a climbing herb. Flowers white, very small. Alt. 900m asl
I hope Drymaria cordata
I too think that this is Drymaria cordata'Climbing herb' is misleading.
never say never but how does a short weed like a chickweed hang?

It might be growing either in an edge or on a tree trunk (I have seen this growing at bifurcations at lower portion of tree trunks) and rocks.
Thanks ... that was my scenario in my head...  but day dreams need data to prove it... so had to ask. thanks ... for confirming.
so given circumstances a short stemmed weed can grow longer stemmed.

Caryophyllaceae Week: :Stellaria media from Mizoram -PKA15: Bot. name: Stellaria media
Family: Caryophyllaceae

Date/Time: 8th Nov./ 10:00AM
Location: near a river bed at the outskirts of Aizawl, Mizoram
Habitat: Wild
Plant habit: Herb
Height: Approx. 15 to 20cm.
leaves opposite, smooth, short petiole
Flowers tiny, hardly 5 to 6mm, white, petals 5 nos ("V" shaped), sepals longer than petals.

Pictures very beautiful ... but to me they look different and not Stellaria media...perhaps a Drymaria species..
Yes that is what I was also to say. Please focus the leaf base to see presence or absence of stipules. Looks Drymaria cordata.
I agree with both ...  I do not know the real diagnosis... ... has said it above.
But its not chickweed as I know it...the leaves are too big compared to the flowers.... and the shape is different too..

Drymaria cordata (L.) Willd. ex Roem. & Schult. ?? : 4 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (7)
Location: Soureni, Mirik, India
Date: 18 May 2017
Altitude: 4000 ft.
I also think it matches with images at Drymaria cordata (L.) Willd. ex Schult.
Taking this as Drymaria cordata subsp. diandra (Bl.) J. A. Duke as per discussions at SK 2756 16 September 2020
Please look into the mail and see if it is  fit for inclusion in the FoI.
Have a look at the attached parts of this paper comparing Drymaria cordata and Drymaria cordata ssp. diandra.
Preliminary Revision of the Genus DrymariaAuthor(s): James A. DukeSource: Annals of the Missouri Botanical Garden, Sep., 1961, Vol. 48, No. 3 (Sep., 1961), pp. 173-268
Looking at your pictures, or the pictures of Drymaria cordata on FOI, who can distinguish between the two? The author says
"Almost all material from continental Asia belongs to the subspecies diandra (maintained as a species by Mizushima), a subspecies completely lacking in America (excl. Hawaii)"
however, Drymaria cordata is said to be pantropical.

Drymaria diandra Blume ??

Drymaria cordata subsp. diandra (Bl.) J. A. Duke ....is the accepted name
Syn.. name..as suggested by you.
Are both subsp. found in Nepal ?
We have to find keys between the two, before any decision.
eflora of Nepal link is not opening right now. Pl. see if there are keys in Flora of China or elsewhere.

There seems to be a lot of confusion w.r.t. Drymaria cordata (L.) Willd. ex Roem. & Schult. & Drymaria diandra Blume
I could not find keys or difference between the two on the net, despite vigorous search.
Flora of Peninsular India (as per book link) and An Excursion Flora of Central Tamilnadu, India - Page 24, only mention Drymaria diandra Blume.
Flora Malesiana also mentions only Drymaria diandra Blume.
Flora of China gives Drymaria cordata (Linnaeus) Willdenow ex Schultes with D. diandra Blume as a syn.
Checklist of Nepal mentions both.
The Plant List Ver.1.1 is based on WCSP (in review)- so less reliable, which is being followed by POWO also.
Catalogue of Life gives distribution of Drymaria cordata subsp. diandra (Bl.) J. A. Duke in Seychelles, peninsular Malaysia, India, Bonin Isl.
