I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on Crateva (Pl. click).

Attempts have been made to incorporate most of the species available in India & nearby areas with details & keys directly or through links as far as possible. It’s quite possible that there may be some discrepancy in the accepted names & synonyms taken from other links.

Species discussed so far in efloraofindia are given at the bottom of the page in the form of links against Subpages. On clicking them one can see all the details.

If someone can provide complete list of Indian species with source references it will be wonderful.

Any comments/ corrections are welcome.
I have compiled and added the list of species in Crateva.
That is very nice of you. This will be very useful to all botanist.
I have a tree - C. tapia out side my college. When ever temperature drops down and there is cold climate, it shades it's leaves and it becomes completely leafless. As soon as there is increase on temperature, new leaves start coming and there is sporadic flowering. I often see 10-15 flowers along with few new leaves.
Such a way, this particular tree flowers 4-5 times in a year. I have checked this behavior with other individual trees and they too show similar behavior.
However, those donot flower 4-5 times but 2-3 times in a year.
I thought I would just share this with you.
Thank you ... for sharing interesting information.
Thanks a lot, ...
I have removed TPL link, which has created a lot of confusion.
FOC appears to the most reliable on this.
its indeed very hard work to compile from bits of information, especially when its from various places. Crateva as such has been a bit confusing tree for many of enthusiasts and taxonomists. Accept my reverence for this tedious compilation that you have carried to put forth 6 plants sp & var. as following
  1. Crateva adansonii DC. subsp. odora (Buch.-Ham.) Jacobs
  2. C. adansonii DC. subsp. trifoliata (Roxb.) Jacobs [syn. of Crateva trifoliata (Roxburgh) B. S. Sun in C. Y. Wu]
  3. C. magna (Lour.) DC.
  4. C. religiosa G.Forst.
  5. C. tapia L. (cultivated)
  6. C. unilocularis Buch.-Ham.

MY REQUEST IS, DO ANY ONE HAS A COMPREHENSIVE KEY INCLUDING ALL ABOVE PLANTS? IF YES, THEN PLEASE FORWARD IT AS SINGLE PAGE, WHICH WILL HELP ITS IDENTIFICATION

Thanks, ... Pl. also see keys of four species here:
