Capparis tenera fruits SN 24719 : 4 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (3)
Wild climber from Medekere area of Karnataka

When were these images clicked ? May we see the close up of the leaves.
Do these match with images and references at Capparis tenera
Flora of China says: Fruit red when mature, globose, 7-10 mm in diam., apex rarely shortly tipped; fruiting pedicel and gynophore ca. 0.5 mm thick.
Herbarium JCB - IISc says fruits globose to 1 cm across, red when ripe.
Does the fruit image matches with the description above ?

Last month only I took it, I took it in the mobile only. It is not Capparis zeylanica as suspected by some experts., it is smaller, about 2cm dia, several fruits are there, the fruits of C. zeylanica will be more than 5 cm dia. leaves greenish, glabrous here, it is greyish, pubescent green in C. zeylanica.
