Annual herb usually branched from base with suberect branches with small rigid hairs; basal leaves obovate-oblong, coarsely toothed, up to 5 cm long, short-petioled orsubsessile; upper few sessile, sagittate-amplexicaul; flowers yellow, barely 2.5 mm across, in up to 40 flowered racemes, elongating up to about 22 cm in fruit; pedicels 6-9 mm long, ascending; fruit linear, up to 2.5 cm long, hardly 1.5 mm or less broad, slightly upcurved, scabrous; seeds usually more than 30, 1 mm. I walked around trying to remember... and gave up, googling reminded me right away most studied plant for genome .. Yes ... Arabidopsis thaliana, the Drossophila of Plant kingdom, a model organism.
