Nakai; Ehretia thyrsiflora var. latifolia Nakai; Ehretia virgata Blanco);

Ehretia acuminata is a deciduous tree found in Japan, China, Bhutan, Nepal, Laos, Vietnam, New Guinea and Australia. Fossil evidence suggests an ancient Laurasian origin. This group of plants spread to Australia and South America via Africa, when these continents were still joined.
Ehretia acuminata is a medium to large size tree, occasionally reaching 30 metres in height and a 90 cm in trunk diameter. The bark is a creamy, grey, with vertical fissures. Koda is often easily identified in winter being deciduous and of the characteristic flutings at the base of the trunk.
The leaves are alternate and simple, tapering to a tip. Finely toothed. 8 to 13 cm long. Smooth and green on both surfaces, darker above. The midrib and lateral veins are distinct on both sides of the leaf, raised beneath.
Flowers are white, sweetly scented, in panicles. Individual flowers are without a stalk, about 4 mm in diameter. Flowers appear in September to November.
The fruit matures from January to April, being a yellow or orange drupe, 4 to 5 mm in diameter, containing four seeds. The fruit is edible to humans with a sweet taste. Fruit are eaten by many rainforest birds, including the Lewin's Honeyeater, Rose-crowned Fruit-dove, Brown Cuckoo Dove, Wompoo Fruit Dove and Australasian Figbird.
Seed germination is relatively easy. Ensure the flesh is removed from the fruit, and expect rapid germination.

Kindly identify the tree growing in Dyal Singh College campus, New Delhi.
Flowers in March-April. Flower size is 4-5 mm in diameter. Flowers are pentamerous and bicarpellary; gamopetalous and gamosepalous.
I had posted it for identification last year too.
Cordia? Boraginacae
To me it seems Ehretia acuminata (Boraginaceae). It is in flowering nowadays (1.4.14) in Pantnagar and Northern India.
Thank you ...; it does appear to belong to Boraginaceae and most likely is Ehretia acuminata.
The inflorescence is not scorpioid cyme. I don't think it as Boraginaceae. I have seen this but don't remember. Any Celastraceae member?
I checked in flora of Delhi. It does resemble the description of Ehretia acuminata; leaves 8-13 cm long, ovate-oblong, sharply serrate margins, Flowers in fascicles, forming large, dense, compound panicles.

It is a tall tree growing in Delhi. Flowers in March-April and fruits form in May.
the tree looks like Vitex negundo-'Notchi' in Malayalam.
Please send the close ups of the leaves, flowers and fruits, as the details are not very clear in the photographs sent by you. Nevertheless, the arrangement of the leaves, as such, does not suggest Vitex negundo-'Notchi' in malayalam. Perhaps the clear picture might reveal its true identity.
It may not be Vitex negundo as the tree is a very tall tree (reason why I could not get close ups of leaves) with simple leaves and white coloured flowers. I will try to get some more photographs of the tree; unfortunately it is not flowering now.
Please also check with Ehretia acuminata if it produce yellow fruits in cluster during May-June and white flowers in March April. Attaching a picture of flowering twig for comparison.
I have attached some more photos of the tree.
Thank you ...; now I am also sure that this is not vitex negundo-courtesy the new pictures posted.
Please check for Citharexylum species.

Ehretia acuminata? ABMAY01/18 : 4 posts by 4 authors. 6 images.
Recently I saw a couple of these trees in the compound of a public building and guess them to be Ehretia species, most probably E. acuminata. Please advise.

Beautiful pics.
Large number of bees indicate copious nectar.
Yes E.acuminata to me. Soon these flowers will set yellow fruits in bunches. The trees here in Pantnagar are already in fruiting.
These trees are finally fruiting at our altitude (1750m). Here are a couple of photographs. While photographing, I spotted a Great Barbet happily feeding on the berries. The light was low and I couldn’t manage better photos. 5 images.
Wonderful images of Great Barbet feeding, ...

... just guessing, could it be some species of Ehretia

Does not seem to match with any of the species at Ehretia

It is not Ehretia; flowers bisexual, looks different than Ehretia; leaf margin serrate not seen in Ehretia, inflorescence a branched raceme

Looks like Boraginaceae member.

I too think so ...; further guessing it to be some Cordia sp.

Ehretia acuminata

Thank you all for ID.

I cant tell if its different then what you think it is. if the tree is still around alive, it should have fruits by now if it flowers in april.
nice round green turning red to brown like little cherries or small round  kuls
berries are yellow. I have not found any other colors on the net for last half hour. so now you have to find that tree again.
Thank you … I will come back with fruits and flowers in due course of time.
